Position Overview
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Research Technician III is responsible for: performing specialized and advanced laboratory procedures; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade XII University entrance required, plus four (4) years related experience in a research laboratory, or;
- Degree/diploma in sciences (biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology, biology) and two (2) years related experience.
Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed recognized by the Employer, may be considered in lieu of the above.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in the use of spreadsheet, database, word processing, PowerPoint and internet software applications.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to interact well with others.
- Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
- Mature and professional manner.
- Strict attention to detail.
- No known allergies to detergents or chemicals.
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
