Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The successful applicant may be eligible for an annual full-time incentive of up to $2,000 each year until 2025 as per MOU #31 of the current MNU collective agreement.
Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the applicable Director and in collaboration with the Program Teams, the incumbent is responsible for:
- Educational program development for:
- Nursing staff including R.N.s, L.P.N.s, R.P.N.s. within Medicine/Oncology Program.
- Support staff including U.A.s, N.A.s, U.C.s and/or applicable technicians within Medicine/Oncology program.
- Teaching and learning activities.
- Nursing practice standards.
- Patient education development.
- Professional and Self Development.
Note: The priority and percentages of each of the above functions will vary throughout the year and possibly from year to year.
Experience
- Must have a minimum of four years recent Oncology nursing experience with demonstrated competency in chemotherapy administration and blood and marrow transplant nursing.
- Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- CNA Certification in Oncology, preferred.
- Competency with word processing and presentation programs, required.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification, preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Must be registered or eligible for registration with the College of Nurses of Manitoba (C.R.N.M.).
- Active participation in professional associations e.g. Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM) preferred.
- CPR at the Health Care Provider Level required.

- Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
