Position Overview

Under the direction of the Support Services Manager in accordance with the facility Mission, Vision and Values statements and Resident Bill of Rights, provides Laundry services for River Park Gardens Personal Care Home.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Verbal command of the English language and English reading skills required, written skills preferred.
  • Ability to relate well with co-workers, Residents and families.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrates concern and interest in the quality of care in cleaning the Resident clothes and making sure they are delivered to the proper place on the rack.
  • Ability to attend work on a consistent basis.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform duties requiring frequent bending and lifting.

 

 

This term position may end earlier as outlined in your collective agreement.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
