Position Overview
The Staffing Clerk is accountable to ensure the efficient and cost-effective staffing and payroll processes
within an electronic program, for the assigned departments, in accordance with designated site/unit/department/program’s staffing needs, organizational policies, and applicable collective agreements.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Le commis à la dotation est responsable de veiller à l'efficacité et à la rentabilité des processus de dotation et de paie dans le cadre d'un programme électronique, pour les départements qui lui sont confiés, conformément aux besoins en personnel de l'établissement/de l’unité/du département/du programme désigné, aux politiques organisationnelles et aux conventions collectives applicables.
Le ou la titulaire du poste bénéficie d’un niveau d’initiative approprié et fait preuve d’un jugement indépendant pour déterminer les priorités de travail, les méthodes de travail à utiliser et les mesures à adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles. Les fonctions du poste sont exercées d’une manière conforme à la vision, à la mission, aux valeurs et aux politiques de Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year experience with electronic employee scheduling applications.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a health care environment.
Expérience:
- Minimum d’un (1) an d'expérience d’utilisateur×rice d’applications de planification d’horaires.
- Minimum de trois (3) ans d'expérience dans un milieu de soins de santé.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade twelve (12) education or equivalent.
Formation (degré/diplôme/certificat):
- Diplôme de 12e année ou l’équivalent.

- Proficiency of both official languages is essential (English/French).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel, Outlook and Teams.
- Working knowledge of Collective Agreements.
- Working knowledge in the usage of office equipment.
- Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated efficient organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads using effective time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and responsive to change.
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with management and staff within the region.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain detailed and focused accuracy given complexity of Electronic Scheduling Program and payroll processes.
