Position Overview
The Men’s Mental Health Manager is responsible for the day to day supervision and operation of the Warrior-Caregiver program at the Churchill Health Centre. The Men’s Mental Health Coordinator will develop, implement and evaluate programs related to men’s mental health in the community.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year working in a health care setting.
- Experience in a health care and/or social services setting with previous experience in mental health an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
- A degree, diploma or certificate in a related area is an asset.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Demonstrated proficiency using various infrastructures and applications such as Canva, Visio, WebEx, webinars, Instagram, Facebook and SharePoint.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Eligible for registration with applicable professional licensing body if applicable.
- The ability to drive, including the willingness to become certified in a Class 4 driver’s and operate machinery such as a snowmobile, ATV, and/or boat.

- Ability to act with initiative, judgment, tact and diplomacy essential.
- Knowledge of The Mental Health Act.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development.

- Must be innovative, highly motivated and an energetic team player.
- Excellent verbal communication skills are required to effectively present complex, controversial or sensitive information to stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication skills are required to produce correspondence for a variety of audiences, including all levels of staff and leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff, including internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working under pressure of deadlines and responding to competing priorities.
- Experience identifying, analyzing and solving complex problems in a timely manner.
- A willingness to travel throughout the year, often being away from the health centre for days at a time, whether leading a land-based learning program or participating in committee work.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
