Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Coordinator or designate, the Trades Helper 2 - Carpentry is responsible for: assisting the carpenters with their duties including repairing flooring, doors, windows and furniture and woodwork on walls; installing and maintaining handrails; constructing millwork, walls and partitions; maintaining accurate documentation; assisting with maintaining stock control; and performing other related duties as assigned.
Experience
- Four (4) years’ carpentry experience.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade 12.
- Proficiency in trade practices will be tested.

- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to understand and follow trade requirements and regulations.
- Neat and tidy appearance.
Physical Requirements
- Manual dexterity.
- Physically able to carry and move loads up to 34 kgs.
