Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

 

Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Supervisor or designate, the Technical Specialist is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing technology standards and solutions in accordance with Digital Services standards and Enterprise Architecture.

Experience

  • Minimum five years’ experience in IT related work.
  • Minimum three years’ experience leading design and implementation in technical domain.
  • Experience with, or understanding of, IT architectural procedures and processes.
  • Experience with infrastructure architecture design.
  • Experience leading and managing technical teams as part of project delivery; and familiarity with the project life cycle.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or other post-secondary technical diploma plus related experience.
  • Technical courses in technical domain (e.g.  Windows 200x, Citrix, Enterprise Storage, Cloverleaf or HL7 Integration, Linux/Unix, Apex, Java, WebSphere Message Broker or Data Power etc.) required.
