Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Program Team Manager, Clinical Programs, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the HOSPITAL SUPERVISOR is responsible for providing services to the President, Executive, Program Directors, Program Support Managers and Program Team Managers. Within his/her delegated authority and during assigned shift, the Hospital Supervisor utilizes the problem-solving approach, directs and coordinates the administrative, organizational and nursing activities related to the effective functioning of the Hospital and the provisions of patient care. Inherent in this is the provision of direction, coordination, guidance, leadership, and support to all staff who provide and support service to patients and their families, and performs other related duties as required.

Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years nursing experience in various clinical areas.
  • Previous experience in nursing management.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • CRNM registration required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical skills.
