NorWest on Notre Dame Assistant

Paid Term Position - 35 hours/week for 8 weeks. June – August 2025

Department: Huddle NorWest

Position: NorWest on Notre Dame Assistant

Schedule: 35 Hours per week. Monday – Friday

Start Date: June 23rd 2025

Salary: $15.80 per hour

Requirements: Applicants must be aged between 15 and 29 years old.

Summary of Job Description

The NorWest on Notre Dame Assistants will be located at 945 Notre Dame Avenue. This is an integrated site that houses a few different programs. The Assistants will support a variety of summer activities, programs, outreach and engagement and front desk supports.

Additional support to other programs based at NorWest on Notre Dame will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma would be preferred.
• Currently or plans to be enrolled in a post-secondary education program preferred.
• Experience working with youth aged 12-29 years of age.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Empathetic, non-judgmental approach.
• Knowledge and experience with diverse cultures and economic backgrounds.
• Experience in recreation is an asset.
• Experience with program delivery and facilitation is an asset.
• Experience or knowledge of program development.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset.
