Position Overview

Under the guidance of Human Resources and the Staffing Officer, the Staffing Clerk maintains scheduling and relief in collaboration with the Patient/Resident Care Manager and other Management. Provides relief as required for the Staffing Officer, including sick and vacation relief.

Experience

  • Experience with ESP computerized scheduling systems required; experience working with other computerized scheduling systems may be considered. 
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Experience in a similar or directly related position, preferably in a health care environment, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Collective Agreements in relation to schedules, overtime and replacement staff.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Successful completion of secondary education (Grade 12).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
