Staffing Clerk (Part-time Indefinite Term)

Anticipated Shift: Evenings and Days 

Daily Hours Worked: 2:00 PM - 8:45 PM Weekdays and 6:00 AM - 2:15 PM Weekends

Annual Base Hours: 2015

 

 

 

 

JOB SUMMARY:

 

Under the director of the Director of Care, the Staffing Clerk is responsible for:

 

  1. Maintaining the master rotation of all nursing care staff, ensuring assignments reflect most economical and effective use of human resources;
  2. Problem-solving with the Director of Care or designate when replacement resources are limited or unavailable;
  3. Reporting situations that impact staffing replacement and ensuring the Nurse/HCA call list is maintained in an accurate and up to date manner.
  4. Keeping up to date of union contractual clauses, which impact on staffing practices of Nurses and HCAs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Grade X11

 

  1. Special Skills/Training
  • Knowledge of Word/Excel/Payroll

 

  1. Experience
  • Knowledge/Experience with staffing in healthcare
  • Previous health care clerical experience

 

  1. Other Attributes
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate a mature professional manner
  • Good understanding of PHIA, Confidentiality and Respectful Workplace concepts
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions with frequent interruptions
  • Excellent mental and physical health, including good attendance to meet the requirements of the position.

 

 

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

 

Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
