Spiritual Care Coordinator
Elderly Person’s Housing – 165 Donwood Drive
Permanent| Part time (0.4 EFT) |Days
The Spiritual Care Coordinator provides Spiritual Programming with and for the tenants promoting their social, emotional and spiritual well-being – all based on Donwood Manor’s mission statement, objectives and policies.

Qualifications:
❖Related experience in geriatrics an asset;
❖Minimum of Grade 12;
❖Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively on an oral and written basis;
❖Ability to plan and execute appropriate spiritual care programming for older adults;
❖Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment in order to build community;
❖Degree in theology preferred

Responsibilities:
Person-Centered Work Practices:
❖Completes interviews with new tenants to welcome and promote participation based on individual preferences;
❖Plans appropriate spiritual care programming with and for tenants
❖Keeps statistical records on program results, reporting to the Tenant Resource Coordinator
❖Maintains confidentiality about the individual tenants;
❖Understands his/her responsibilities in continuous quality improvement;
❖Participates in opportunities for in-service and continuing education, within the organization and community, to maintain competence relevant to current practice;
❖Support tenant’s spiritual needs though services, prayer groups and individual visits.

This is an out-of-scope position. The work location is at Donwood Manor Elderly Person’s Housing. Schedule of work requires flexibility and may include some evening and weekend hours depending on work flow.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
