Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapy Department at CCMB provides radiation therapy for cancer patients and education of radiation therapy students for the province of Manitoba. The Senior Radiation Therapist (SRT) supervises and serves as a role model and a resource to staff for clinical decision-making and in the clinical assessments of clients. The SRT reviews, analyses, and makes recommendations in the development of administrative systems such as policies, procedures and standards of care within a continuous quality improvement environment. The SRT plans and provides staff and student education as consistent with the mission, values, and policies of CCMB. The SRT is under the supervision of the Clinical Resource Radiation Therapist. The assignment for the incumbent will be treatment delivery and simulation. The incumbent may also be required to provide coverage for other areas within the Radiation Therapy Department based on their r

- The incumbent must be available to work 0600 – 1800, on all operational days.
Qualifications:
Required:
Level of Formal Education & Experience
- Current Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration
- Certificate for CPR – BLS Provider
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a General Duty RTT or the equivalent combination of education and experience
- Satisfactory employment record
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and reliably.

Preferred:
- Bachelor of (Radiation) Science, Health Science Degree
- Experience in treatment delivery and simulation within the last 3 years.
- Advanced credential: CT Therapy Certificate (CTRT)
Assets:
- Experience with ARIA RO and Varian Linear Accelerators, Siemens CT Simulator
- CAMRT full length courses or other RT related courses.
- Advanced credential e.g. CMD, CDC, Adult Learning
- Previous supervisory experience
- Professional awards or honors.
- Personal suitability as demonstrated through a professional portfolio
- Ability to speak French
