Job Summary:

 

The Radiation Oncology Program provides radiation therapy services for cancer patients and education and training for radiation therapy students for the province of Manitoba.

 

The Senior Radiation Therapist (SRT) provides, coordinates and supervises clinical services and provides didactic and/or clinical instruction to radiation therapy students, radiation oncology residents and other staff/students as required.  The senior duty radiation therapist is under the supervision of a Clinical Resource Radiation Therapist (CRRT).

 

Qualifications:

Required:

EDUCATION:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy (Required)
  • Bachelor Degree in a health-related field (e.g. Radiation Therapy, Radiation Science Degree) (Preferred)
  • Advanced credentials (e.g. CTIC, CMD, CDS) (Preferred)
  • CAMRT full length courses or other related post-secondary courses and professional awards or honors (Asset)

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum three years RT experience (Required)
  • Recent related RT experience (Preferred)
  • Senior or supervisory position and relief experience (Preferred)
  • Experience with related software and radiation therapy equipment (Asset)

CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration (Required) Certificate for CPR - BLS - HCP Level C (Required)

  • Must have satisfactory employment record
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

Preferred:

Ability to speak French
