Job Summary:
The Radiation Oncology Program provides radiation therapy services for cancer patients and education and training for radiation therapy students for the province of Manitoba.
The Senior Radiation Therapist (SRT) within the School of Radiation Therapy rotates through the school as a didactic instructor and the appropriate Radiation Therapy clinical areas. During this annual rotation, they provide clinical services and facilitate didactic and clinical instruction to radiation therapy students, radiation oncology residents and other staff/students as required.
Qualifications:
Required:
Education
- Graduate from an accredited school of Radiation Therapy who is an active practicing member of the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT)
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years RT Treatment Planning experience
Preferred
- Bachelor of (Radiation) Science, Health Science Degree
- Senior or supervisory position and relief experience
- Advanced Credentials: CT Therapy Certificate (CTRT), Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD), CAMRT Dosimetry Certificate (CDC), Certificate in Adult Education
Asset
- Experience with related software and radiation therapy equipment
- CAMRT full length courses or other related post-secondary courses and professional awards or honors
An acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Required Licenses, Registrations, Designations
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT) registration
- Certificate for CPR - BLS - HCP Level C

- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Ability to speak French is considered an asset
