Position Overview

Functioning as a member of the Provincial Health Contact Centre Team, the Scheduling Assistant is a key member of the service delivery team responsible for scheduling clinical and non-clinical resources to respond to requirements in various programs operated by the PHCC.

Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year related work experience in computerized scheduling environment required.
  • Previous experience in a community office, scheduling Home Care preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to organize and carry out tasks efficiently and work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated computer and keyboarding skills required.
  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Works within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing education and participates in professional activities for personal and professional growth.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
