Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

 

Position Overview

Under the HSC Executive portfolio and reporting to an HSC Executive Director, the Rotation Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the efficient organization of rotation development and rotation related administrative services for all of Health Sciences Centre (HSC). Ensures compliance with Shared Health policies and procedures, collective agreements, and assists with creation and reporting on statistical reporting, tracking and financial management information and rotation development for HSC employees.

Coordinates and works with multi-disciplinary leadership teams (including managers and directors), HR, union representation, and finance to develop schedules and rotations that meet the operational needs of the unit, financially responsible and supports the standardization of rotations across all programs.

Acts as a management resource for internal departments, programs and services as well as considerable involvement with union partners and human resources.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years recent administrative work with spreadsheets, complex time keeping or SAP support experience.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.  
  • Business Administration diploma/certificate or an equivalent combination of education and working experience.  

 

SPECIAL TRAINING:

  • Proficiency in computerized systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) is required. (Proficiency in Microsoft Excel advanced formulas, rules and formatting techniques required.)
  • Experience with email and computerized calendars. 
  • Requires SAP experience and timekeeping experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Workload management experience and the ability to interpret Finance staffing and EFT reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills essential.
  • Ability to prioritize a large workload and independently complete a variety of duties within established deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively contribute to a team environment by maintaining good working relationships with all levels of staff.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with collective agreement scheduling rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with rotation guidelines is an asset.
  • Skilled in data analysis.
