Resident Care Manager

City: Winnipeg

Anticipated Shift: Days 

Daily Hours Worked: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM  

Annual Base Hours: 2015  

 

 

 

Job Summary:

As a member of the management team, the Resident Care Manager's primary responsibilities relate to patient care, Human Resources Management, Financial Management, policy development and professional standards, program planning, quality management, equipment/ supplies/ space management, in-service education, professional development, research, environmental management, committee participation, and communication. The positon of Resident Care Manager functions in a manner consistent with and supports the mission, vision and values of the Holy Family Home. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Baccalaureate degree from a recognized university.  Other combinations of skills and education may be considered.
  • Eligible for or possesses current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba or other professional body as applicable.
  • Certificate in Health Care Administration an asset
  • Certificate in gerontology an asset

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent relevant work experience in geriatric or long-term care
  • Experience in health care management: and 
  • Recent experience in quality improvement and risk management

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.

 

Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
