Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Effectively work with Operational, Technical, Medical, and Quality departments to ensure continuous compliance of Shared Health Diagnostic Services Quality Management System.
Experience
- 3 years of experience working within a quality role capacity or team.
- Knowledge of accreditation requirements, regulations and quality requirements as they pertain to diagnostic service provision (laboratory, diagnostic imaging, transfusion medicine, NICT).
- Knowledge of quality management principles.
- Knowledge and experience with data analysis and basic statistics.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Graduate from an accredited school for one of the following:
- Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Medical Imaging Technology.
- Cross training for Laboratory/Diagnostic Imaging Technology.
- Cardiology Technology.
- Certificate in Quality Management preferred.
- Working knowledge of Quality Management System components and duties.
- Quality training.
- Auditor/inspector training.
- Suitable combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current registration/licensing with applicable professional body.
Qualifications and Skills
- Effective interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to promote teamwork, collaboration and partnership.
- Ability to identify and prioritize options as potential solutions to problems and issues.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet competing demands and deadlines and deal effectively with difficult and sensitive situations.
- Able to establish and maintain productive working relationships by demonstrating tact, discretion, diplomacy, behavioural flexibility and effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to work independently and remotely at times.
- Windows computer environment considered an asset.
- Microsoft Office programs considered an asset.
- Workplace Health & Safety Program or training preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Work primarily in an office environment.
- Travel within Manitoba to all Shared Health Diagnostic sites.
