Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Supervisor and Provincial HR Shared Services  Manager, this position is part of a centralized recruiting team who handles the end to end process of creating requisitions, to postings, to letters of offer, onboarding tasks, and completing hiring activities in both SuccessFactors and SAP in a call centre environment.



  • Ensuring that all stakeholders affected by sourcing, recruiting, offer and onboarding functions are proactively communicated with.
  • Continuous monitoring of the hiring requisitions assigned to the centralized recruiting team to proactively ensure success of site requisitions.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders per site on updates and recruiting status details.
  • Preparing job postings for our career website.
  • Creating and extending letters of offer to successful candidates.
  • Selecting appropriate onboarding packages.
  • Working within our applicant tracking system of SuccessFactors.
  • Processing employee status change transactions within our payroll system of SAP.


  • Previous recruitment experience deemed an asset.
  • Previous experience in employee payroll and benefits required.
  • Hands-on experience working with a computerized applicant tracking system an asset.
  • SAP system knowledge is an asset.
  • Previous experience working within a unionized environment is an asset.
  • Experience with Remedy or other service management software is an asset.
  • Previous call centre experience an asset

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Successful completion of Human Resources post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Payroll Association, Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or equivalent education from a recognized business certificate preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous knowledge of a  Human Resource Information System (HRIS); preferably SuccessFactors.
  • Knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems is preferred, with SAP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with staff at all levels essential.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete duties independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Strong decision making skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively while under deadline pressures in a fast-paced environment and have strong time management skills.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to assist customers and deal with related documentations using a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Must be able to prioritize work flow and have ability to work independently as well as and effective member of the overall team.
  • Requires discretion about detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.


This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
