Position Overview

Under the general direction of the Program Director and the Clinical Director and in collaboration with a designated physician, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the PROGRAM TEAM MANAGER provides leadership for the health care team in providing patient centered care.  The Program Team Manager ensures that the adequate human and material resources are available to support performance goals and the 24-hour delivery of safe, quality patient care.  The Program Team Manager seeks to promote and maintain a positive, professional team oriented environment.

Experience
  • Minimum of two(2) years recent, related clinical experience required (program specific).
  • Two(2) years previous management experience in a health care setting required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, or allied health discipline required.
  • A graduate degree in a health related discipline, or in management, is preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Registration with appropriate licensing/regulatory body required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Ability to lead interprofessional team.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, critical thinking, conflict resolution and decision making skills.
  • Ability to perform independently and as a member of the health care team.
  • Ability to delegate appropriately and supervise performance of staff.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and attend to unit operations in a timely manner.
  • Ability to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
  • Ability to plan, manage and implement change.
  • Ability to function in a computerized environment.
  • Ability to recognize and pursue self-development opportunities.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
