Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Manager of Environmental Services and the Manager of Patient Care, Diabetes Education, the Program Assistant assists the Managers to maintain operations by liaising with clients, care providers and SWIHSS staff. The Program assistant demonstrates a commitment to the vision, values, goals and objectives of the facility.
Experience
- A minimum of 3 years related work experience required.
- A minimum of 1 year in a health care environment would be highly desirable.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Completion of Grade 12, Manitoba Standard required.
- Completion of a certificate program in office skills (e.g. Office Assistant, Administrative Assistant).

Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills (listening, verbal and written) are required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and organizational skills are required.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
