Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Manager of PHRSS Payroll and Benefits, the incumbent is responsible for preparing overpayment packages and developing prevention strategies to reduce overpayments within the Province of Manitoba Healthcare Employer Organizations. Duties include: extracting data from multiple systems, preparing information packages, providing support to the sites, working with employees to obtain repayments, auditing data, reporting, coaching, and training to sites and participating on special projects as required.
The incumbent will conduct investigations using data from within the payroll systems and apply all union and non-union overpayment and repayment guidelines, including the varied processes in dealing with multiple Collective Agreements.
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience working with a computerized Payroll system required.
- SAP and QHR enterprise system experience (preferred).
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
- Successful completion of the Canadian Payroll Association Management Certificate Program or equivalent education from a recognized Business Certificate with emphasis in accounting required.
SPECIAL TRAINING:
- Proficiency in the use of multiple Payroll and Benefit Enterprise Information systems.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Canadian Payroll Association Management Certificate (preferred).
Qualifications and Skills
- Must have experience within both a union and non-union environment.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office required.
- Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and be able to assist customers and deal with related documentations using a high degree of privacy and confidentiality.
- Must be able to prioritize work flow and have ability to work independently as well as and effective member of the overall payroll team.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work effectively while under deadline pressures in a fast-paced environment.
