Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Director of Quality & Patient Safety, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in effective and efficient operations within the Quality & Patient Safety portfolio. The role will include management of the Quality & Patient Safety team office. This includes providing administrative support to the Director and the Quality & Patient Safety Program and preparing documentation and various publications.
Qualifications:
Required
- Successful completion of a recognized Administrative Training Program or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, as determined by CancerCare Manitoba
- 3 years' related experience supporting an intermediate senior-level level leader
- Ability to work independently, interfacing with highly skilled professionals in a team environment provide leadership in work activities
- Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications in an office environment (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Must have satisfactory employment record
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
Will be assessed during the interview process:
- Excellent interpersonal and written/ oral communication skills
- Exceptional time management, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and work both independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
Preferred:
- College or undergraduate education in business or a related field
- Related experience in a complex healthcare or academic environment
Asset:
- Formal training and/ or experience as a legal administrative assistant or paralegal
- Ability to speak French
