Position Overview

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team under the supervision of the Program Director, the incumbent:

  • Performs a variety of clerical tasks and acts as a communication link for the unit.
  • Performs a variety of tasks for the care and comfort of patients as well as routine tasks to maintain the cleanliness of the area.

Experience

  • 1-2 years recent relevant experience as a Unit Clerk required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
  • Successful completion of Unit Clerk certificate from a recognized course required.
  • Successful completion of Health Care Aide certificate from a recognized course required.
  • Consideration will be given to candidates who:
    • Have successfully completed the Anatomy/Medical Terminology and Office Practice course or other recognized related combined courses.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
