The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

 

Position Overview

The Medical Staff Administrative Services (the “MSAS”) supports the recruitment, appointments, contractual arrangements and payment of medical staff engaged by Shared Health and the University of Manitoba/College of Medicine, Faculty of Health Sciences (the “University”).

In collaboration with the leadership of the Shared Health Clinical Programs and University Departments, Manitoba Health, the Director, Medical Staff Administrative Services/Recruitment supports physician resource planning and administration of medical staff contracts, including deliverables and remuneration arrangements.

Reporting to the Director, Medical Staff Administrative Services/Recruitment, the Medical Staff Contract Administration Assistant performs those duties related to the administration of the contractual arrangements with the medical staff.

Experience

  • Current experience in the area of medical staff contracting and remuneration.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the administration of medical staff contracts is preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Degree or diploma in business administration or related discipline or combination of education and experience.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Acceptable knowledge of medical staff contracts and remuneration arrangements.
  • Current knowledge of medical staff structure within an academic health sciences environment.
  • Able to work independently in a complex and demanding professional environment.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
