Klinic Community Heath is a pro-choice community health center that provides a full range of health-related services from medical care to counselling and crisis services to wellness and education services. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Executive Director the Manager Fund Development participates in the development and implementation of the fundraising plans, policies, procedures, and practices to support this registered charity in delivering exceptional programs rooted in our social justice mandate.

 

The Manager oversees the development and implementation of the organization’s fund development strategy. Using strong communication and stewardship skills, they will advance annual appeals, major giving, multi-year grant opportunities, and donor relations.

 

Scheduling flexibility may be required, including evening and weekend work and limited travel.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Post-secondary degree in area of public relations or fund development, or related field, or a combination of education and experience
  • CFRE, (Certified Fundraising Executive) or other fund development designation preferred
  • Minimum five years’ progressive experience in annual giving, direct response fundraising, digital fundraising or related development functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and oversee successful donor-centred fundraising strategies
  • Proven experience in donor prospect development, management and stewardship
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster trusting and authentic relationships
  • Familiar with fundraising software (e.g. SUMAC, Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect) an asset
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English demonstrated in previous roles that require communication with diverse groups
  • Experience with and commitment to Reconciliation, and to dismantling racism and oppression within policies, procedures, and practices

START DATE: Date of Hire

TERM ENDING: 18 Months from start date (with possibility of extension)

HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, scheduling flexibility may be required including evening and weekend work, limited travel and periodic on-call rotation.

SALARY RANGE:  $90,000 to $110,000 per year
