JOB SUMMARY:
To function as a member of the Maintenance Services Team utilizing general trade related skills in servicing all facets of building systems including interior and exterior structural repairs.
The position will promote the Mission of the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate by supporting the care values regarding the provision of quality care, loving environment, Christian ideals and principles, respect for life and dignity of person, and preservation of our traditional ethnic customs.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience in trade related areas such as plumbing, electrical, H.V.A.C., painting and some knowledge of grounds keeping.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license in the Province of Manitoba and a reasonable knowledge of the city of Winnipeg.
- Completion of a commercial trade from a recognized school (certificate level) would be an asset.
- Must be able to read, write and follow basic written instructions in English.
- Completion of the Red River Community College building systems technician course is an asset.
- Must have a minimum of two years related experience in maintenance related duties.
- Should be eligible to obtain a Fifth Class Power Engineering Certificate.
- Good mental and physical health and good attendance to meet the requirements of the position.
- Must be able to work unsupervised and prioritize work orders.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
Must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
