Position Overview

 

Working in a collaborative team, you will support the needs of the service delivery organizations in the Manitoba health system, which combine to form one of the largest unionized employer groups in the province. You will advise, educate, consult with and support management in a variety of health sector organizations and health authorities who lead diverse employee groups ranging from trades to regulated professions. Your work will vary from managing grievance and arbitration files, to collective bargaining support and direct involvement in strategic planning and daily risk management.

Ideal candidates will preferably have at least two (2) years of experience in the practice of labour law, supporting clients in unionized environments from a broad range of industry sectors, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctorate (J.D.) and will demonstrate the essential leadership skills defined by LEADS in a Caring Environment.
