Holy Family Home, a residence for the elderly and those requiring long term care is searching to fill the position of Human Resources Manager to lead all aspects of the human resource function. WHAT YOU WILL DO
Reporting to the Chief Financial and Officer, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for:
- Providing leadership to all staff members, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services by supporting the team in all aspects of the day to day HR operations;
- Working with the Management team implementing strategic and/or operational HR goals; prioritizing, organizing and maintaining efficient flow of work to ensure deadlines are met and effective service delivery is maintained;
- Ensuring efficient and effective fulfillment of processes and systems related to resource vacancies, promotions, transfers, the HRIS, resource information management, employee relations, employee benefits and payroll; HR planning and operations and special HR projects to advance and execute Holy Family Home’s strategic human resource objectives
- Providing guidance and support on various aspects of labour and employee relations, employment engagement, employee development, health and safety programs and associated HR initiatives;
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and legislative guidelines and requirements;
- Providing support and coaching on employee related incidents, ensuring consistent application of human resources policies and procedures;
- Participating in the development of HR programs and practices that reinforce and further develop a best practice environment.
WHAT THIS ROLE REQUIRES
- 6 years practical experience and training directly related to HR functions of which 3 years include direct management experience, preferably in a health care environment
- Post secondary degree in related field and/or an equivalent combination of formal education and related human resources management experience
- Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation, or working towards designation
- Demonstrated success working in a unionized environment
