Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

 

Position Overview

Retail Services plays an important role in achieving facility goals pertaining to customer satisfaction, quality outcomes, cost containment and revenue generation. The products and services provided by the department must be self-supporting and ensure that all associated costs of operation are recovered. Customers of the department include patients and visitors plus medical staff and other health care providers, support staff and administrators. The revenue generated by the department provides a significant contribution to the Health Sciences Center.

The Gift Shop Clerk serves customers in a courteous manner, assessing and identifying needs to promote sales opportunities. Provides on-site guidance, support and training to volunteers working in the Gift Shop.

Experience

  • Previous Retail Cash and Lottery experience preferred.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Compliance with workplace safety precautions required.

Physical Requirements

  • Good manual dexterity is required.
  • Position requires walking, bending, stretching and lifting/carrying/moving/pushing moderately heavy weights.
