Position Overview
Under the direction of the Executive Director Support Services & Chief Administrative Officer, the Equipment and Supply Specialist works with a large number of stakeholders (logistics services, site clinical managers and staff, finance staff, vendors, etc.) to facilitate timely clinician access to safe and appropriate clinical equipment and supplies. This individual maintains an excellent understanding of all aspects of how clinical equipment and supplies are selected, procured, and stocked in order to address unexpected events.
Experience
- Minimum three (3) years direct related experience in a computerized purchasing/materials management environment.
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience with business applications including spreadsheet, database and word processing software.
- Experience with SAP requisitioning required.
- Experience in inventory control required and/or supply chain is an asset.
- Experience within a healthcare environment would be an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Diploma or degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from an accredited college or university program.
- Supply Chain related courses preferred (e.g., SCMA, APICS).
- An equivalent combination of education and experience, as deemed recognized by the site, may be considered in lieu of the above.
SPECIAL TRAINING:
- Training in purchasing processes and inventory management preferred.
- Training in SAP materials management and requisitioning preferred.
