Position Overview
Under the general supervision of the Property Management Manager, the Shop Head - Electrical is responsible for the Electrical Shop operations which includes the maintenance of Hospital electrical equipment, systems and services and for assisting with the installation, modification or addition of electrical equipment and systems; assisting with the selection and monitoring of staff; preparing reports; and performing other related duties as required.
Experience
- Five (5) years’ experience in acquired trade at a certified level.
- Two (2) to five (5) years’ experience as a Shop Head.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade XII.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Manitoba Department of Labour Certificate of Proficiency as a Journeyman Electrician.
- Holds and maintains either Class "A" or "B" electrical contractor license with the City of Winnipeg.
Qualifications and Skills
- Skilled in the use of all applicable tools and equipment.
- Good interpersonal skills.

- Able to work under minimum supervision.

- Good supervisory and leadership skills.
- Neat and tidy appearance.
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to carry and move loads up to 34 kgs.
