Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Digital Health focuses on supporting clinical and business systems as the foundation for leveraging electronic data in the delivery of health-care services.
We have an opportunity for a Director in Clinical Digital Solutions, who will build and manage provincially-focused interdisciplinary team with a culture of client service to ensure the ongoing operation and enhancement of digital health solutions in support of Manitoba’s Clinical and Preventative Services Plan and the public health-care system including Shared Health, six service delivery organizations and other applicable health care partners. As this role is provincial in nature, the work location is flexible within Manitoba and will be made in consultation with the successful candidates. This director will focus primarily on solutions supporting the primary health and community care service areas by ensuring they achieve the outcomes defined in the approved clinical digital strategic services plan and annual operating plan.
Reporting to the executive director digital clinical services, this director has direct authority and accountability for delivering on all service level commitments, ensuring client satisfaction, budget management and operational policy development related to solutions supporting primary health and community care). The successful candidate will lead organizational change, ensure ongoing adoption, optimization, deployment and maintenance of technologies and related equipment, support and manage vendor contract, and ensure effective services are provided to support overall organizational and health-care system requirements. The successful candidate’s leadership, professionalism, diplomacy, and continuous improvement orientation will be evident as they collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide excellent customer service, identify system solutions, and support an integrated province-wide health-care system that provided multicultural respectful health services delivery.
Experience
- 10 years of progressive experience across the health and/or technology sectors such as in clinical informatics, in a large, geographically-dispersed ICT services organization delivering 24/7/365 support including:
- 5 years of experience managing a client service focused interdisciplinary team in the delivery and maintenance of digital solutions for clinical health services.
- 5 years of experience developing and implementing annual operating plans focused on client service and leading multiple project teams in the deployment of digital health and clinical informatics solutions.
- 5 years of experience influencing senior management, key stakeholders, and negotiating and managing vendor contracts for outsourced digital health and clinical informatics solutions.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant clinical field, health informatics, technology, computer science or engineering from an accredited educational institution.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
