Position Overview

Under the direction of the FOOD SERVICES SUPERVISOR OR AREA MANAGER, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface General Hospital, the DIETETICS PORTER is responsible for: performing a variety of janitorial tasks in the main kitchen and cafeteria; and performing other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated good personal cleanliness

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk/stand throughout the shift
  • Ability to move heavy objects, and have the ability to climb stepladders etc., in the process of cleaning certain lights, firebells etc.
  • Ability to withstand heat and steam

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
