Our Coordination of Care team provides services and solutions to ensure information sharing and communication between points of service so patient information is available when and where needed to support informed and accessible care. The Provincial Client Registry is a system that links together client information from various health organizations and facilities across the province. Linked information will facilitate a cross-facility view of client health information to improve healthcare.

 

We have an opportunity for a Data Integrity Analyst who will monitor data quality, collaborate and provide regular communication and support to source system organizations to resolve data quality issues, and facilitate continuous improvement in the quality of client information across source systems and processes relating to registration, health records, and client data integrity. You will provide training to site contacts and application maintenance teams. You will work independently with minimal direction and demonstrate confidentiality, accuracy, flexibility and initiative. You have strong problem solving skills and use an analytical, methodical approach to investigate and resolve concerns to ensure technology systems are running optimally to meet user needs. Your focus on customer service will be evident as you demonstrate professionalism and diplomacy in your client relationships.

Experience
  • You have 5 years of experience using and training others on Admissions/Discharge/Transfer (ADT) systems in a health information services environment with a focus on analysis, data management, and the promotion of data quality and integrity, complimented by two (2) years of experience in the facilitation, development and implementation of business processes and policies, and monitoring emerging multi-jurisdictional trends in data management and naming conventions.
  • You can demonstrate advanced proficiency in the use of spreadsheets, proficiency in the use of databases, fluency in the use of general office systems, and practical knowledge of registration and records management practices.
  • Experience working under the Manitoba Personal Health Information Act and working with report development tools are assets.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • You have a Health Information Management diploma. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • You have a current certification from the Canadian Health Information Management Association.

Physical Requirements

Some important requirements of this job include:

 

  • Must be able to work flexible hours to accommodate the service requirements of source system organizations and support our 24/7/365, province-wide client needs through scheduled overtime as required.
  • The ability to work safely in a typical office environment and to lift and move items of up to approximately 25 pounds.
  • Occasional travel is required within Manitoba.
