Job Summary:
The Radiation Therapy Department at CancerCare Manitoba (CCMB) provides radiation therapy for cancer patients and education of radiation therapy students for the province of Manitoba. The Clinical Resource Radiation Therapist (CRRT) assesses, plans, implements and evaluates staff activities consistent with the mission, values and objectives of CCMB. The CRRT coordinates the resources required for the provision of patient care and supervises staff within the department. The CRRT provides the appropriate environment to meet the teaching and research commitments of CCMB. In addition to administrative duties, the incumbent will provide direct clinical patient care and will be assigned to any or all of the clinical areas. The percentage of time assigned to administrative and clinical duties will fluctuate based on operational need. The CRRT reports to the Radiation Therapy Department Management Team.
EFT Hours: The incumbent must be available to work 0600 – 1800 on all operational days
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current registration or eligible/will be eligible to register with Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technology (CAMRT)
- Current certificate for CPR – BLS Provider required prior to employment at CCMB
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Radiation Therapist position or the equivalent experience as deemed appropriate for the position
- Satisfactory Employment Record
- Must be able to legally work in Canada

Preferred:
- Bachelor of (Radiation) Science, Health Related Degree or higher
- Advanced credential e.g., CTIC, CMD, CDC
- Completion of an approved Certificate in Management or Leadership
- Personal suitability as demonstrated through a professional portfolio
Asset:
- Experience with ARIA RO, Varian Linear Accelerators and Siemens CT
- CAMRT full length courses or other RT related courses
- Professional awards or honors
- Ability to speak French
