Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Health Records Processing/Transcription, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clerk 3 is responsible for: retrieving, sorting and processing discharges; filing health records; and performing other related duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Six (6) months experience in the Health Records Department of a hospital OR.
  • One (1) year related clerical experience.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12, or recognized equivalent.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Keyboard Speed - 45 wpm.
  • Ability to work in a Windows operating environment.
  • Ability to read, write speak and understand English.
  • Ability to retain information which is of a confidential nature.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Legible handwriting.
