Position Overview

Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team with direction from professional personnel. The primary functions include communication/reception of clients, clerical tasks, environmental control, basic aide duties, electronic appointment scheduling, filing, typing and communication. These duties are performed accurately and consistently to maintain an efficient flow of information between health care professionals.

Experience

  • Demonstrated proficiency in current computer programs and use is required including but not limited to Microsoft, power point, internet and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in English is required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Minimum Grade 12 Manitoba standards required.
  • Graduate of a recognized medical office assistant or unit clerk course, or an acceptable combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Medical terminology required.
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
