Salary:  $25.283 - $33.487/hr (2015 BAH)

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a number of our departments across the province will require additional staffing to support our fight against COVID-19; while continuing to provide the best possible health care services to Manitobans.

 

Manitoba recognizes the hard work and dedication of our front-line heath care providers and we are looking for additional experienced health care providers to offer support during these unprecedented and challenging times, to help provincial efforts to prevent and control the spread of COVID-19.

 

Position Overview

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for assisting the site manager with the daily operational activities at the vaccine clinic:

  • Assists the site manager in day-to-day coordination and management of daily operational activities.
  • Coordinates the proper allocation of non-clinical resources; responsible for assigning roles for 70+ staff each shift.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training new staff.
  • Contact for all Navigators and Lead Navigators regarding staff and/or system access challenges.
  • Leads shift change huddles with Lead Navigators and Navigators, communicates key messages, ensures smooth and timely assignment of staff.
  • Conducts rounds within the clinic, with a focus on wait lines and areas that could develop into pressure points that will impede client flow. Advises appropriate floor or clinical manager of trouble spots. Reports findings to Site Manager.
  • Develops, tests, and implements process flow change to ensure effective client flow.
  • Report on key performance indicators.
  • Monitors supplies used in the clinic, flags low volumes supplies for replenishing.

Education and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business or a related field.
  • Other equivalent combinations of experience and related education may be considered.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate information, multi-task, and adapt to changing priorities to successfully operate within a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills: ability to quickly find root cause of issues and resolve.
