Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the BreastCheck Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical tasks, supportive functions for clients, staff and the department in an efficient and effective manner.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant Program. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
- Experience in a healthcare clinical environment, involving interaction with patients and the public.
- Experience organizing and managing patient data using electronic clinical systems.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) – must have English 40s or equivalent.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to stressful situations in a high-pace environment.
- Ability to work independently, as well as a positive member of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Works with a high level of confidentiality.
- Must hold a satisfactory employment record.
- Must be able to legally work in Canada
Preferred:
- Indigenous Canadian Citizen (Applicants must, at application, self-declare that they self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis and Inuit)
Assets:
- Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
- Experience working in Screening Programs.
- Experience organizing patient data using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture. Archival Communication System (PACS).
- Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
- Ability to speak French
