Position Overview

Reporting to the Manager, Communications & Media Services, and in alignment with the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Audio/Visual (A/V) Technician is responsible for managing room bookings for the Samuel N. Cohen Auditorium and Atrium in the Albrechtsen Research Centre, serving as the main liaison for corporate clients renting these spaces. The A/V Technician also supports meeting rooms within the Albrechtsen Research Centre and the 3rd floor of the Asper Clinical Research Institute, assists with the production of A/V materials for St. Boniface Hospital Research administration, and provides creative services including writing, graphic design, web design, photography, and video production to support the departments of St. Boniface Hospital Research.

Experience

  • Experience in graphic design, video production and photography
  • Knowledge/experience with Audio/Visual support (e.g. Microphones, amplifiers, soundboard/mixers, etc.).

 

SPECIAL TRAINING/SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver creative and effective business communications (oral and written.
  • Proficient with desktop publishing applications (e.g.  Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud suite, etc.).
  • Proficiency in web design applications and content management systems (e.g. WordPress).

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Completion of Creative Communications, Digital Media Design, or Graphic Design diploma or successful completion of another recognized equivalent diploma/degree, preferred.
