Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations. Health Sciences Centre (HSC) is a service delivery organization of Shared Health.

Position Overview

The College of Nursing and Health Sciences Centre (HSC) invite applications to fill an Assistant or Associate Professor tenured or tenure track position with a clinical research focus (position #28012). This is a joint appointment between the University of Manitoba and HSC with a secondment agreement with HSC. The appointee must have a PhD with registration as an active practicing RN in the Province of Manitoba. Research experience in a tertiary care setting that emphasizes clinical nurse inquiry, innovation, patient/family engagement, and multidisciplinary collaboration is preferred.


The College of Nursing is seeking an assistant/associate professor who will be seconded to HSC as a clinical chair. The individual will conduct research on clinical issues that guide health care practice while supporting HSC in keeping their vision of “Patients First”. The successful candidate will generate knowledge, implement evidence based practice (EBP), disseminate results, teach, and mentor health care professionals.
