Position Overview

Provides technical support to the Department of Anaesthesia, ensuring that anaesthesia and related equipment is functional and calibrated. Coordinates preventative maintenance and servicing of all related equipment. Therapeutic services include assisting with induction and intubation, intravenous therapy and bronchodilator therapy. Maintains anaesthetic supplies.

Experience

  • 1 year previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist required.
  • Experience in an Operating Room environment desired.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Currently licensed to practice Respiratory Therapy in the Province of Manitoba.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current in CPR at the BCLS level.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.

 

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
