Position Overview

Reporting to the Accountability Manager, and in close collaboration with the Accountability and FSI Coordinator, the incumbent supports and/or coordinates the implementation and/or renewal of Service Purchase Agreements (SPA), Schedules A1s and B1s PDFAs with Community Health funded agencies, while monitoring agency performance deliverables. The incumbent ensures compliance with the WRHA policies and procedures; assists with statistical and financial management information as required by the Chief Administrative Officer. The Agency Accountability Analyst will act as a resource within the Community Health Services portfolio with respect to various administrative related projects.

Experience

  • Three years of recent finance administration experience preferably within a large complex organization (healthcare or equivalent).
  • Experience working with detailed financial and statistical spreadsheets and financial processes.
  • Extensive experience in the use of personal computer systems and data retrieval tools.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.
  • Current enrolment in a Health Information Management or Business Administration Diploma program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computerized accounting systems, as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Knowledge of performance measures, key performance indicators, quality management, service utilization, statistical interpretation, risk management, and report writing.
  • Must have ability to prioritize workload, consistently meet deadlines and provide continuous quality service.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations, define problem areas, and recommend system solutions.
  • Ability to communicate results of analysis and recommendations through written reports and presentations.
  • Must have excellent communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal) in the English language.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must have the ability to cope with unexpected interruptions in order to meet changing deadlines.
  • Must have the ability to take initiative and implement efficiencies in processes.
  • Must have the ability to work with large volumes of data and summarize information for various levels of the organization.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
