Obstetrics/Gynecology Administrative Assistant

This position will perform a variety of administrative and clinical duties for the OBGYN department.
32-40 hours/week (no evenings/weekends)
Start date: immediate
Essential duties and responsibilities (but not limited to):
We are seeking a highly organized assistant to join our fast-paced team. The ideal candidate would have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be detail-oriented and comfortable with Microsoft Office. Duties include handling phone calls, scheduling appointments, bringing patients to exam rooms, handling confidential documents and patient records, collaborating with physicians and the hospital, and other duties assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a medical facility and medical terminology an asset
• An understanding of PHIA guidelines is an asset.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
• Demonstrate ability to use critical thinking skills
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to observe and promote a high standard of confidentiality and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team setting and be an excellent team player.
• Good work and attendance record
• Physically and mentally able to perform required tasks
