Position Overview

The Clinical Resource Nurse is responsible for the following five areas of clinical practice:

  1. maintaining and improving the quality of people centered care,
  2. assisting with teaching nursing staff,
  3. mentoring/coaching nursing staff,
  4. developing and implementing best practice and,
  5. involvement with research as appropriate as well as performing other related duties as assigned.

 

The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters. The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health‐Santé Sud.

L’Infirmier ère-ressources en soins cliniques  est responsable des cinq domaines de pratique clinique suivants:

  1. maintien et amélioration de la qualité des soins axés sur les clients,
  2. appui du personnel infirmier enseignant,
  3. mentorat | encadrement du personnel infirmier,
  4. élaboration et mise en œuvre des meilleures pratiques,
  5. participation à la recherche selon le cas et exécution d’autres tâches connexes assignées.

 

Le ou la titulaire du poste bénéficie d’un niveau d’initiative approprié et fait preuve d’un jugement indépendant pour déterminer les priorités de travail, les méthodes de travail à utiliser et les mesures à adopter pour traiter les questions inhabituelles. Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years overall nursing practice.
  • Minimum of 3 years recent experience in a nursing position relative to the clinical area of specialty|site would be an asset.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Current active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba and the scope of practice as defined by the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Additional current certification specific to clinical area of responsibility such as TNCC; recognized ACLS course; recognized Fetal Health Surveillance course, NRP. The CRN is expected to maintain all applicable course certifications as current.

 

Certification/permis d’exercice/enregistrement:

  • Certification en réanimation cardiorespiratoire de base.

L’infirmier ère-ressources en soins cliniques est tenu de maintenir à jour toutes les certifications de cours applicables.
