Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
Position Overview
Under the direction of the Manager Health Services, Clinical Support, the Scheduling Supervisor oversees the centralized scheduling support and service at Selkirk Mental Health Centre. This position is responsible to lead and ensure delivery of efficient and effective scheduling services for clinical programs across the organization, working collaboratively with staff and leaders throughout each program. This position oversees scheduling staff in their daily duties to support sustainable and structured staffing practices that support 24 hour a day, 7 day a week healthcare operation.
Experience
- 3 years of experience working with complex scheduling rotations, timekeeping and/or payroll systems (e.g. ESP, SAP, QHR).
- 3 years of experience providing shift scheduling support including applying and working within the guidelines of collective bargaining agreement(s).
- 2 years of supervisory experience working within an office setting.
- Previous experience in health-care planning and delivery is an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Post-secondary certificate in business administration, office management, or payroll administration from an accredited education institution is required.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated front-line leadership capabilities. The provincial health system has adopted the LEADS in a Caring Environment framework.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to work safely in a typical computerized office environment with frequent meetings, and to lift and carry items of up to approximately 10 kg.
- Interruptions from key stakeholders are common; dedicated and focused time for planning and concentration can be scheduled.
- A valid Manitoba driver’s license and use of a personal motor vehicle may be required for travel within the province.
