Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centred clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager or delegate, the incumbent is responsible for:


  • Direct service delivery for electronic, electromechanical and related Assistive Technology Equipment.
  • Documentation associated with service delivery.
  • Education and Research.
  • Safety of the workplace and all devices - ongoing as part of all responsibilities.
  • Other
  • Three years related experience with demonstrated competency in electronic design and development is required, preferably in the field of rehabilitation or in a medical setting. 
  • Experience in CAD software and microcontrollers, especially Arduino required. 
  • Experience working with disabled persons preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards. 
  • Diploma in Electronic Technology (2 year program) from an accredited Technical School required. 
  • Certification with the Certified Technicians and Technologists Association of Manitoba (CCTAM). Must obtain a valid CTTAM “M” Licence within 2 years of employment.
  • Valid Manitoba Driver’s license.  Basic CPR preferred.

  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stress, adapts to a busy environment, and meet deadlines.
