Position Overview

Under the direction of the Supervisor, Distribution, the incumbent will list, label, collect, process and deliver client personal clothing for the whole Health Centre in a centralized environment

  • One year previous experience in Laundry is required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Grade 12
  • It is recommended that, at minimum, staff possess the Family & Friends category of training.

Qualifications and Skills
  • General knowledge of computer systems and an ability to key information into a specialized software program.
  • English language must be consistent with the demands of the job.
  • Works within the Centre's core values, philosophy, vision, C.Q.I. goals, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate well with clients, care givers, fellow workers and supervisor(s).
Physical Requirements
  • Physical health to meet the requirements of the position.
  • Extensive lifting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending and sorting required.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
